Story Outline

Headline: Transfer student accommodations, a place where improvement is needed

Admissions goes through thousands of applicants each term, selecting proper candidates to join the University of Maryland. However, not all students have the same “welcoming” experience.

1st Subhead: Getting into Maryland is an exciting time, for some
2nd Subhead: The Institute of Applied Agriculture’s, two-year degree program, approach to transfer students
3rd Subhead: Improvement can come from both sides

Questions to ask expert:
1.      Do you feel transfer students treated differently than regular admits?

2.      Do you feel your transfer students get enough attention?

3.      What do you think you could do to welcome transfer students better than you are?

4.      What do you think the difference is in treatment of transfer students between your degree program and UMD overall?
